Day 20: Level 2 Results
I did it! I finished Level 2. It wasn't easy and it wasn't pretty, but I did it. I woke up at 6am to finish it so I could carry on with my Friday night without rushing around after work. I have to say that the plank exercises got easier but were by no means easy at the end. My favorite part of the level was the Military Press. Watching Natalie lose her balance while I solidly stood with burning arms on one foot made me feel good about myself. I see a bit more definition in my waist and tush. I also have muscles in my arms that I didn't know I had.
My measurements shifted down quite a bit, too:
Additionally, I seemed to have lost another 2lbs, bringing my total Shred weight loss to 4lbs.
I'm so excited about the results I've had with this and I'm pretty sure this excitement has spread a bit amongst people I know. My mom and dad are starting the Shred tomorrow. That to me, is better than any pound or inch that this takes off my body. Since they're loyal readers, I just want to tell them good luck and FOLLOW ANITA.. PLEASE!
My next results post will be for Day 30. I'm terrified of Level 3, but I know I can handle it. Bring it, Jillian!
Does anyone have any tips on Level 3?

For some odd reason, Level 3 was my favorite level when I did the 30 day shred challenge in December '09, but I think it was due to the fact that I was so happy that I made it through 2 levels and I felt stronger in the last 10 days.
You can totally see a difference. Good on you. I have heard that going from level 2-3 isn't as hard as level 1-2. But then again I haven't done it :)
I had no idea that the shred was so effective! I bought it a while back but never got into it. So you're doing this on top of your gym routine, right? What all do you do at the gym? you're such an inspiration :)
(candi/loveberries)
Janet - I share your enthusiasm for Level 3. It hurts and it's difficult, but I actually enjoy it wayy more than Level 2.
Michelle - Thanks! I'm easing into it :)
Candi - I LOVE the Shred. It was especially good for me because I was doing hardly any core work previously. My new routine has been 4-5 weekdays at the gym doing high intensity cardio for 30 minutes (usually elliptical intervals 3x a week and one day on the stationery bike). I'm hoping to start running again once the weather breaks so I can get additional cardio in on weekends, too. YOU are totally an inspiration. You look so fit!
Now I'm convinced I need to try the Shred. Those results are amazing! Congratulations to you!!
Diane - It's pretty fantastic and has really motivated to push myself harder. Thanks so much :)
Wow - so the Shred really works, does it!! Your results are AMAZING!!
I have the DVD, but I found level 1 SO hard that I did it once and haven't gone back. I am terrible at push-ups ... I can't do them for the full time. I am scared to try again, but your results are SO motivating!!
Jolene - Day 1 of Level 1 is awful. THE WORST. The next day I was so so so sore. But you've just got to push through it and by about Day 6 you'll feel completely different. Jillian says it in the DVD, if you want results you really have to work for it. It's not supposed to be easy!
Good luck if you try it again. You can totally do it.
